I came to David 12 weeks after having my first child. Along with the joy of having a healthy little boy, I began experiencing post-partum anxiety accompanied by insomnia. The baby was beginning to sleep through the night, but I was not! It was becoming increasingly difficult to get through each day on very little sleep. The lack of sleep also increased the anxiety. After deciding against medication, I decided to give acupuncture a try. I am so glad I... Read more »
I started coming to David Karlovich in the fall of 2005 for chronic headaches and allergies.
Since then, I have had David treat me for a variety of other ailments: thyroid disease, painful scar tissue, chronic pain on my shoulder from my job, and, most recently, he has begun treating me for a few food allergies.
I have never had such positive results from any other treatments or remedies, especially for the headaches which have all but stopped. My thyroiditis... Read more »
I suffered with tinnitus and anxiety about it for a couple of years. I tried all the magic pills and sound machines (to mask the ringing) to no avail. Acupuncture for Stroke Recovery: Rebuilding the Brain

When a stroke hits, life can change in an instant. One moment you’re preparing breakfast before work, and the next you’re on the kitchen floor unable to move one side of your body. The weeks that follow are then filled with hospital visits, rehabilitation appointments, and often frustration. Tasks once performed automatically like buttoning a shirt, lifting a coffee cup, or speaking clearly, become daily battles.
Months of physical therapy can then follow, but progress is often slow. Speech can remain slurred and fatigue can be relentless. Many are desperate for additional help and can look to acupuncture to help with recovery. While acupuncture is not a replacement for emergency medicine or rehabilitation therapy, growing clinical research suggests it may offer meaningful benefits for some patients recovering from stroke. continue reading
The Healing Landscape of Scalp Acupuncture

Many healing journeys begin in unexpected places. For some, recovery starts not in the muscles of the back or the ligaments of a knee, but in the quiet landscape of the scalp, an area often overlooked except for styling, washing, and the occasional headache. Yet, for many people seeking relief from neurological, physical, and emotional challenges, scalp acupuncture is becoming a compelling bridge to healing. continue reading
Finding Relief: Acupuncture for Neuropathy

According to a 2014 study, approximately 10% of Americans suffer from some form of neuropathic pain. And those numbers have only increased since then. Neuropathy is a condition that affects the peripheral nerves, leading to pain, weakness, and sensory disturbances. Traditional treatments can offer limited relief depending on the severity of the condition and patients can grow desperate for relief. Acupuncture offers those looking for answers another option for pain relief. continue reading
